Julianne Marie Hough was born on July 20, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is one of fourteen children, this includes full brothers and sisters and half siblings. She started her formal dance training at Center Stage Performing Arts in Orem, Utah. Julianne Hough moved to London, England at the age of ten during her parents' divorce where she trained with dance coaches and studied at the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts with her brother Derek. She became the youngest and only American to gain the titles of Junior Blackpool World Latin Champion and International Youth Champion. Hough was also trained in singing. Her brother, Derek, is also a professional dancer. He is currently competing against her on Dancing with the Stars.
When she was 15 years old, Hough returned to her hometown in Utah. After graduating from Alta High School, she relocated to Los Angeles in the hopes of building her singing, acting and dancing career. She was an assistant choreographer on Gwen Stefani's "Wind It Up" music video.
Finally, it seems as if Julianne's dreams are coming true. Not only is she the latin dancing champion and a two-time Dancing with the Stars Champion, but now she has been given her own record deal! Julianne's music career was first established by releasing her first single called "Will You Dance With Me" on iTunes. This lead her to get a record contract with Universal Music Group and the release of her first country albumn which has claimed a stake at the top of the charts..
